From a single branded tee to a global creative studio — this is how MGL2390 Studios happened.
What started as a passion for craft in October 2020 became one of the most versatile creative production studios in the world. DR LAAK and the MGL2390 Studios team produce custom merchandise, build software, develop websites, run brand campaigns and educate the next generation of creators — all under one roof.
v1.0 — First Release
MGL2390 WPTheme launched as an e-commerce WordPress theme. Core features: WooCommerce shop, custom homepage, mobile responsive design, and basic admin settings. First version sold on Selar.
v2.0 — Full Admin Dashboard
Introduced the complete admin dashboard — every section of the homepage editable without code. Added gallery with lightbox, YouTube integration, reviews carousel, and blog.
v3.0 — Automated License System
Built the HMAC-signed license system with Google Apps Script automation. Buyers receive their license key automatically within 5 minutes of purchase. Google Sheet tracks all licenses in real time.
v4.0 — Designer Tool Added
Added the DRLAAK Designer Tool — an interactive canvas for designing custom items with 382 SVG stamps, real finish previews, and direct WooCommerce checkout integration.
v4.1 — Profiles and Section Order
Added CMS-managed profiles grid with auto-generated detail pages. Drag-and-drop section order introduced for full homepage control without code.
v4.2 — Current Release
Complete ZIP restructure. Demo site launched at demo.laakrichard.com. License email bug fixed. Page URL Manager added — rename any page slug from the admin dashboard.
